TLDR:
30 Days of NFTs and 30 Days of NFT Tech are two entirely free courses that had become inactive, but we’ve brought them back together with ZenAcademy.
30 Days of NFTs was the original, written by the ZenAcademy team and released in 2022, you receive 1 email for 30 days in a row learning daily about NFTs.
30 Days of NFT Tech was the second one, written by myself as a collaboration with ZenAcademy, it followed the same format going deeper into the tech.
Education is the single biggest thing to onboard more people into the space, so I’ll continue to grow our efforts, offering ever more educational content.
A couple of weeks ago we brought back the “30 Days of NFTs” and “30 Days of NFT Tech” courses together with ZenAcademy.
The former was written by the ZenAcademy team and the latter was written by myself as an inspiration. Since both courses are entirely free I wanted to discuss them properly in this week’s post for people to know more about them.
Bringing back the “30 Days” Courses
Zeneca and his community ZenAcademy released their “30 Days of NFTs” email course in late 2022. As an inspiration I created my own follow up course in 2023 called “30 Days of NFT Tech” following the same format and as a direct collaboration with ZenAcademy.
However as ZenAcademy reduced its operations late last year both courses had become inactive and you couldn’t access them anymore. But after speaking with Zeneca we worked together and have brought them both back!
Both of these 30 day email courses are entirely FREE and will be maintained from now onwards by my company Token Page in collaboration with ZenAcademy!
Many of the readers of this substack have come here from one course or another, so it may not be new to you. Yet for the rest I still wanted to elaborate on what both of the courses are about and where you can now find them.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to remind you about Zeneca’s Substack, which has more signal to noise than pretty much any blog in Web3. If for some strange reason you aren’t already subscribed then I’d highly recommend you do so now!
30 Days of NFTs
Released originally in October 2022 by the team at ZenAcademy, this is a 30 day email course aimed at beginners in the NFT space where you receive one short 3-5 minute email per day. At the end of each email there’s also an “extra credit” section with external videos and links, plus a “vocabulary of the day” section.
As Zeneca wrote in the cover letter for the course: “These emails are designed to make the onboarding process as easy as possible. The world of NFTs can seem daunting and overwhelming at times, and it can be difficult to know where to begin”.
This course came out at a time where NFTs were in vogue and everyone wanted to understand them, and with Zeneca’s large reach the course was a huge success.
The course covers topics like:
What are NFTs
How to buy and sell them
Marketplaces
Use-case examples
It was originally set up at 30daysofnfts.com. That link still works and now re-routes to courses.tokenpage.xyz/30daysofnfts where it’s found its new home.
This course is entirely free and will always be. So get your friends and family who still haven’t understood about NFTs to read so they can be onboarded to the space too.
I’ve also included it now in a new format where you can read each day directly, in an entirely new and also free community we’ve created called Bitcoin and Crypto Beginners! I’ll write more about this new community in a later post, but if anyone’s interested to dive into the course without having to wait to receive a new email per day then you know where to find it.
30 Days of NFT Tech
Inspired by the original course, this one was written by myself over 2023 and released together with Zeneca and ZenAcademy in November 2023. It follows the same format of an email per day for 30 days with a new self-containted topic each daya, along with an extras and vocab section. I even wrote a post on it when it was originally released.
While the first course was intended for beginners, this is a slightly more intermediate level course focusing on the technical side of things. It therefore makes sense to finish the first course before this one, although you can always read both in parallel.
In late 2023 the NFT hype had already died down and most of the people left in the space were generally in it for the long run. So this course was intended to challenge your understanding further and help you to go much deeper.
The course therefore covers topics like:
Wallets and keys
Blockchains and block explorers
Smart contracts
Consensus algorithms
Decentralised storage
At the end of this course I sent a google forms out to ask for reviews and got hundreds of really positive glowing reviews, which was very rewarding! You can see a screenshot of some comments below.
Like the original it was set up at 30daysofnfttech.com and that link still works, and it re-routes to courses.tokenpage.xyz/30daysofnfttech where it’s found its new home.
This course is also entirely free and will always be. It can also be found in a new format where you can read each day on-demand in the new Bitcoin and Crypto Beginners free community, just like the first course.
Education in Web3
The space of Bitcoin, Crypto and Web3 is still very nascent and hard for most people to fully grasp. Even governments, economists and regulators don’t fully understand how to navigate these new technologies and what they mean for the world.
My personal belief is that other than AI these are the single most important technologies of our time because they revolutionise our understanding of the very pillars of society, namely money and governance.
For the space to thrive we need to onboard billions of people, and for that I believe there are two key pieces we need to work on: (1) more education about the space as a whole; (2) better user-experiences that fit more hollistically in our lives.
With that in mind I’ve always personally been focused on furthering education, which is clear from the free courses mentioned above and the 90+ free posts I’ve written in this weekly blog. I’ve also recently created an entirely free community, that you can take a look here if you like, and you’ll see me mentioning more as it develops.
Moreover, there’s also a paid course for beginners called Bitcoin & Crypto 101 that I’ve created and will get it’s own post. Plus we have plans to build some software around onboarding newcomers to Web3 with this same focus on education and UX.
So watch this space, as there’ll be more to come soon!
